Juliette Van Balen is an accomplished Attorney at Law and the owner of IP Advocaten since October 2009. In addition to this role, Juliette serves as DPO as a service at by DANA, focusing on managing privacy and compliance obligations through an innovative legal tech and regtech platform. As the founder of Olexx, Juliette fosters a community of legal professionals dedicated to knowledge sharing and agility in the digital era. Juliette is actively involved with the Association of Information Technology Lawyers (VIRA) and has previously held positions such as Secretary for NVvIR and Board Member for NLdigital. Notable achievements include authoring the Smart Grid Management GDPR Code of Conduct, approved by the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Educational credentials include a civil law degree from the University of Groningen and specialized training in computer and trademark law from Grotius Academie.
