Mark Stovell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public policy and program management, particularly in the areas of mental health and substance use. Currently serving as Deputy Program Director at CSG Justice Center since November 2014, Mark oversees the Stepping Up initiative, which aims to reduce the number of individuals with mental illness in jails. Mark has a strong background in grant management and technical assistance, previously managing a portfolio of grantees under the Second Chance Act and conducting numerous site visits and training sessions. Prior roles include serving as a Research Assistant at the Center on Addiction and as a Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellow at Families USA and Hunger Free Vermont, where Mark contributed to significant policy guides and community outreach efforts. Mark holds a Master of Public Administration in Health Policy Analysis from Baruch College and a BA in Political Science and Sociology from Ohio University.
