Bruce Sachs has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Bruce started their career at Xylogics in 1989, where they served as the CEO and Vice President of Engineering. From there, they moved on to become the CEO of Xylogics/Bay Networks in 1993. In 1995, they joined Bay Networks as the Executive Vice President of the Internet Telco Business Unit. In 1997, they became the President and CEO of Stratus Computer. In 1998, they served as a Board Member at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and also as the EVP and GM of the Carrier Signaling and Management Group at Ascend Communications. Bruce Sachs' most recent role was as a General Partner at Charles River Ventures, starting in 1999.
Bruce Sachs earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University in 1980. Bruce then pursued further education at Cornell University, where they completed a Master of Engineering (ME) degree in Electrical Engineering by 1981. Later, in 1987 and 1988, they attended the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
