Shankar Sadasivam serves as the Director and Head of Behaviors at Cruise, leading an organization focused on developing the AI systems that drive the company's autonomous vehicles. With a solid background in AI, Shankar previously held the position of Principal Technical Lead and Manager at Qualcomm, where Shankar's team substantially improved chipset performance and achieved significant cost savings. Shankar also contributed as a volunteer at Asha for Education and gained experience as an intern at both IBM Research and EPFL. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
