Brian Peng is a seasoned professional in the field of base metal analysis with extensive experience in China's mining sector. Currently serving as a Base Metal Senior Analyst at CRU since June 2018, Brian focuses on mine supply research and cost analysis for zinc, lead, copper, and nickel, along with carbon emission research. Prior to this role, Brian held positions as a Senior China Copper Analyst and Base Metal Analyst at BGRIMM-MAT from August 2015 to April 2018, where responsibilities included gathering and updating data related to base metals and China's macroeconomics. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at the General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals from July 2013 to July 2015, contributing to research project proposals and management. Brian holds a Master's degree in Nonferrous Metallurgy from the General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals (2010-2013) and a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology (2006-2010).
