James Cobb has extensive work experience, beginning in 1994 with the Flying Music Company Ltd, where they held the role of Production Coordinator. In 1999, they were appointed Director of LXCO Ltd. In 2000, they became a Director of Sound Advice (London) Ltd. In 2002, they took on the roles of CEO and CTO of Moving News Ltd. In 2004, they became a Director of Cornbury Music Festival Ltd. In 2005, they were appointed Director of ML Sound Advice Ltd. In 2007, they became a Director of Cobb Associates Ltd. In 2010, they were appointed Chairman of the Production Services Association. Finally, in 2014, they became the CEO of Crowd Connected.

James Cobb received their MA in Natural Science from the University of Cambridge between 1990 and 1993. James then went on to earn a PgD in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Management from the University of Portsmouth between 2010 and 2013.
