Lori Gualco was born and raised in Sacramento. She attended UC Santa Barbara for 2 years and UC Berkeley for 2 years, graduating in 1975 with a degree in Political Science. Lori then moved to New York City and was able to pursue her love of cultural activities, belonging to five museums and attending numerous plays, ballets, symphonies, operas and musicals. She moved back to Sacramento and attended McGeorge School of Law while working part-time at her father’s law firm. Upon graduation, she resided in San Francisco for 8 years. After getting married, she and her husband returned to Sacramento where Lori opened a solo practice in 1995 and handled primarily real estate related law and then environmental toxics law (soil and groundwater contamination). She practiced law for 37 years as a litigator until her retirement on January 1, 2018. Upon retirement, she and her husband traveled until the onset of Covid. Lori has also began learning the game of bridge and now plays in duplicate bridge tournaments.
