Jared Kells has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Jared started their career as a Software Engineer at Konami, where they worked on building poker machine games. Although they acknowledge some reservations about the gambling industry, this experience helped him discover their passion for being a product developer.

Afterwards, Kells joined Omnidrive, a startup involved in creating an online file storage solution. During their time there, they contributed to the development of the Windows app and gained expertise in technologies like Windows API, COM, and MFC. This role also played a pivotal role in shaping their career towards startups.

Later on, Kells joined Stauff Corporation as a Programmer/Analyst, where they handled a wide range of IT responsibilities for a medium-sized business. This role included networking, hardware deployment, systems administration, database administration, report creation, and ERP system implementation.

Jared then worked at Software Projects Pty Ltd, where they served as both a Senior Consultant and a Consultant. In this capacity, they undertook various projects for clients using the Microsoft stack. Jared built desktop apps with Windows Forms and WPF, developed backends with ASP.NET and SQL Server, and gained experience with Ruby on Rails.

Following this, Kells joined CriticalArc as a Senior Software Engineer, joining as the first engineering hire before the launch of their iOS app, SafeZone. Jared played a crucial role in porting the app to Android before its release and was part of the company until 2017. Jared later returned to CriticalArc in 2023 as a Senior Software Engineer.

In 2017, Kells joined Easy Agile as a Senior Developer Technical Lead, where they witnessed the company grow from a small team to nearly 50 employees. Jared was involved in defining the company's values and assembling a talented team.

Lastly, Kells organized Siligong Valley Dev Meetup for Siligong Valley, a local tech community with over 1500 members. Jared held this role for five years, organizing developer meetups in Wollongong every few months.
