Michael Kapnistos is an experienced R&D professional in the field of polymer science and engineering. Currently serving as R&D Manager for Films at Plastika Kritis S.A. since November 2010, Michael is involved in testing and evaluating new technologies in the plastic films division. Prior roles include R&D project manager at TU Eindhoven and DSM Engineering Plastics, where academic research and practical problem-solving were primary focuses. Additionally, Michael has held positions as a knowledge transfer fellow at the University of Leeds and adjunct lecturer at the University of Crete, contributing to scientific research and education in material science. Michael holds a PhD and MSc in Chemical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, along with degrees in General Physics and Polymer Physics from the University of Crete.
