Ed Hoganson rejoined Crestline in 2019, from Hospitality Investors Trust, Inc. (HIT) where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, leading the assemblage of a $2B plus portfolio of over 140 hotels. In his position with Crestline, Ed leads an aggressive strategy to target the acquisition of, and investment in, hotels throughout the U.S. and growing Crestline’s best-in-class management business. Ed also works closely with the owners of Crestline-managed hotels to source additional investment opportunities for them.
Ed’s career with Crestline and its affiliated companies spans more than 15 years. From 2007–2014, he served as Crestline’s CFO and EVP of Finance and Business Development, overseeing the company’s assets and leading the push to acquire new properties for management. Ed began his career with Deloitte and then joined Marriott International where he held various finance positions during the six years before beginning with Crestline Capital.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University, a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Business from The Wharton School. Ed has also served as an affiliate faculty member at George Mason University and Georgetown University, lecturing on hospitality finance.
