François Marion has been Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of the support functions since May 2016.
He spent much of his career at Crédit Agricole Indosuez, first at Banque Indosuez, where he joined the Internal Audit department in 1983, moving to New York in 1985 where he was in charge of all the bank’s support functions. In 1992, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Asia-Pacific. On his return to Paris in 1997, he was put in charge of overall financial control, budgets and strategic planning at Crédit Agricole Indosuez. In 1999, he became a member of the Executive Committee of Crédit Agricole Indosuez and Head of the Systems and Operations department. In June 2004, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Investor Services in charge of Financial Services for Institutional Investors at Crédit Agricole S.A. When CACEIS was formed in 2005, François Marion was appointed Chairman of the Management Board and then, following a change in governance in 2009, became Chief Executive Officer. He was a member of the extended Executive Committee of Crédit Agricole S.A.
