Wolfgang Herbst has been working in the field since 1986. Wolfgang started as a Customer Success Manager at ADS ANKER Data Systems. In 1988, they moved to Hogadata Austria GmbH as a Business Development Manager. In 1992, they took on an IT-Management position at WMF Group. In 1996, they started their own company, Wolfgang Herbst Consulting. In 1999, they became the Geschäftsführer at Amadeus, Software, Research & Development GmbH. In 2017, they took on the role of Projektmanager at Hagleitner Hygiene International GmbH. Most recently, they have been working as a Customer Success Manager at Crate.io since 2019.

Wolfgang Herbst obtained a Diplom in Informatik from the Computer College Salzburg in 1986. Wolfgang then went on to obtain a Diplom in NLP-Coaching-Communication from Impulse und Seminare between 2012 and 2015. In 2011, they obtained a Diplom in Dive Control Specialist from Scuba School international.
