Tim Payovich currently serves as the Chief of Police for Crandall ISD since June 2024. Prior to this role, Tim held the position of Chief of Police at Alvarado ISD from July 2019 to June 2024. Tim's law enforcement career began with the Dallas Police Department, where Tim worked as a Police Officer from May 2006 to April 2014, and included a role as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst at the Dallas Fusion Center from April 2012 to April 2013. Tim also served as a Police Sergeant and then Police Lieutenant at UNT Health Science Center between November 2015 and June 2019 and as a Police Sergeant for the City of Crandall from April 2014 to November 2015. Tim's educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California Coast University and a Trilogy Leadership Award from the FBI-LEEDA Law Enforcement Executive Development Association.
