Bob Jimenez is senior vice president of corporate affairs at Cox Enterprises. Jimenez serves as the chief communications counsel to members of the executive team and leads the management of the company’s brand, reputation and strategic communications.
He is responsible for leading internal and external communications; digital platforms; public affairs and issues management; ESG engagement, measurement and reporting and corporate philanthropy. He also oversees the corporate event services and travel teams serving as an enterprise-wide resource for the company’s nearly 50,000 employees.
Prior to joining Cox in 2003 as director of corporate communications, Jimenez was a director of global communications and international marketing at AFC Enterprises. In 1999, he joined Walt Disney World as manager of public affairs serving as official spokesperson for the 49-square mile resort and in 1992, served as administrative director of marketing and public relations for Advent Health, one of the nation’s largest faith-based health systems. Jimenez started his communications career as director of public relations at Opera Orlando in 1989.
Jimenez serves on the boards of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations and The Woodruff Arts Center and is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society and The Seminar. Previously, he served as board chair for the Latin American Association and on the boards of Leadership Atlanta, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, United Way of Greater Atlanta, National Hispanic Corporate Council and Elon University School of Communications.
Jimenez earned a master’s of business administration degree with an emphasis in marketing and international business from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Adventist University, where he was recognized as alumnus of the year in 2015.
In 2007, Hispanic Business magazine named Jimenez one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in America and since 2018, he’s been named one of the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
