Kirsten Mariager currently serves as the Green Transition and Sustainability Director and Business Development Director at COWI since June 2021. Additionally, Kirsten is a member of the board for the Global Compact Network Denmark and Venti AS, and serves as an external examiner at Danish institutions of higher education in engineering. Previous roles include member of the FRI Sustainability Taskforce, member of the board for UN Global Compact Network Denmark, and Head of Sustainability and Energy Management at Dansk Energi Management A/S. Kirsten’s early career includes positions as an associate professor at Aarhus University School of Engineering, and project engineer at NIRAS and Esbensen Consulting Engineers. Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Engineering College of Aarhus.
