Hilde Rau Heien-Sunde is an experienced Project and Market Director specializing in Environment at COWI since March 2012, with expertise in pollution, environment, and waste management. Previously, Hilde served as a head of section and consulting engineer at COWI Kristiansand, and held a consulting engineer position at Kristiansand kommune. Academic contributions include research assistant roles at NTNU focused on biotechnological production and biodiesel from microalgae. Summer internships at Statoil in the Apprentice Department further enrich Hilde's background. Hilde earned a Master of Science in Environmental Biotechnology and Microbial Ecology from NTNU and an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Glasgow.
