Filipe Saraiva has over two decades of experience in civil engineering, specializing in the conceptual and detailed design of steel and concrete structures. Currently serving as Technical Director at COWI since April 2017, Filipe has held multiple roles including Associate and Principal Structural Engineer. Prior experience includes a tenure as Principal Structural Engineer at Fairhurst and a long-term position as Technical Director and Senior Structural Engineer at Pavicentro, the largest precast concrete company in Portugal. Filipe has also contributed to the SAFECAST project, focusing on seismic behavior in precast structures, and served as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Coimbra. Filipe holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and has further educational experience at Universidade de Coimbra.
