Michael Tuters, P. Eng, has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as Mine Superintendent for Covia since June 2018, overseeing open pit mining production at the Nepheline Syenite Operations. Previously, at Unimin Corporation from August 2017 to June 2018, Michael managed mine production and mobile maintenance for a major Nepheline Syenite mine while implementing rigorous safety programs and environmental compliance measures. Prior to that, Michael worked at Conuma Coal Resources as a Mine Engineer, developing long-range mine plans, and at Walter Energy in various engineering roles, focusing on geotechnical monitoring, mine planning, and production management. Michael holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Queen's University, earned between 2005 and 2010.
