Sheila Thibodeaux is a highly experienced professional in the field of chemical engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Lamar University and an MBA in Finance from Our Lady of the Lake University. Currently serving as a Global Functional Safety Expert and Principal Process Safety Engineer at Covestro since August 2015, Sheila ensures compliance with OSHA 1910.119 regulations for the MDI unit at the Baytown site. Prior experience includes roles as Strategic Partner Manager at Bayer Technology Services, where Sheila facilitated engineering services across the Chemical, HealthCare, and Agricultural industries, and Business Development at Wilson Mohr, focusing on client growth in automation and industrial controls. Additionally, Sheila held several technical leadership positions at Honeywell, overseeing production operations and process safety management, and began career as a Process Engineer at Bayer. Sheila's qualifications are further enhanced by certifications in Six Sigma as a Black Belt and Lean methodologies.
