Alan Wallace is a Teaching Fellow at Coventry University since January 2013, focusing on biomedical sciences, particularly in biochemistry, advanced pharmacology, and drug discovery at both BSc and Masters levels. Additionally, Alan operates as an Independent Consultant and Freelance Biochemist since July 2011, providing consultancy services to a diverse range of clients in industry and academia, often related to drug discovery. Alan has a notable background in the pharmaceutical industry, including a significant role as a Team Leader/Senior Research Scientist at AstraZeneca R&D from 1987 to 2011 and previous positions at Fisons and the University of Birmingham. Alan holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Applied Molecular Biology from UMIST and a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham. Furthermore, Alan contributes to the community as a volunteer with the RSPB since June 2017.
