Yousef Turshani is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in pediatric and neonatal care. Currently serving as Chief Medical Officer for the County of San Mateo since January 2018, Turshani oversees provider contracting and budgeting while actively participating in strategic planning. Turshani has also held interim Chief Medical Officer and Pediatric Medical Director positions, managing pediatric services at key health centers. In addition to work at UCSF Medical Center as an Associate Clinical Professor and Global Health advisor, Turshani completed the prestigious Health Care Leadership Fellowship at the California Health Care Foundation. Previous roles include Neonatal Hospitalist at Cedars-Sinai and comprehensive medical positions in community clinics, demonstrating a commitment to expanding healthcare access and improving pediatric care. Turshani's educational background includes an MD from the University of Chicago and a BA in Mathematics and Chemistry from the University of South Florida.
