Cori Allen has a diverse work history in the field of health and human services. Cori is currently serving as the Calaveras County Health and Human Services Agency Director since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Tuolumne County Health and Human Services, where they held the position of Deputy Director from February 2012 to April 2021. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing multiple social services programs, preparing budgets, and analyzing legislation and regulations. Before that, from October 2009 to February 2012, Cori worked as a Program Manager at the Tuolumne County Department of Social Services, where they collaborated with stakeholders in system improvement plans and reported to the County Board of Supervisors. Cori began their career at Tuolumne County in 2000 and held various positions, including Sr. Analyst and Child Welfare Services Supervisor. In these roles, they managed contracts, supervised social workers, and developed innovative models for youth placement.
Cori Allen completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 1989 to 1993. Later, they pursued a Masters in Public Administration from California State University, Stanislaus, from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Cori also obtained certification as a Dare to Lead Trained professional from Dare to Leadâ„¢ Trained in June 2021.
