John and his wife, Diane, live in Downsville, Wisconsin, and have four sons and two granddaughters. He has been farming for 41+ years and his operations focus on producing corn, soybean, and rye. The corn is sold for grain, the soybean is grown for seed beans, and the rye is sold for cover crop. He attended the University of Wisconsin, where he completed the Farm & Industry Short Course, and also graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College in Farm Management. He served as the vice chair at Countryside from 1998–2014, and has been serving as the board chair since 2014. John is focused on finding ways to capitalize on opportunities and meet the challenges that our member producers face in today’s Ag economy.
