Irene Chávez is an experienced Organizational Development and Performance Improvement Specialist with a focus on civil society programs, currently serving at Counterpart International since November 2020. Irene has a strong background in proposal writing and capacity building for various international development projects across multiple countries, including Armenia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ghana, and Haiti. Previous roles include fundraising at YWCA Haiti and various consultant positions aimed at enhancing organizational capacities, particularly in the areas of gender-based violence and sustainable development. Irene holds a Licenciatura in Sustainable Tourism and Ecotourism from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala.
