Mr. Auchincloss served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Santa Barbara District Attorney’s office for over 20 years. He retired in 2017 as the Chief Assistant District Attorney and continues to work for the District Attorney’s Office as a volunteer attorney on issues involving the homeless. In that capacity, he is a member of the Homeless Inter-Agency Policy Council, The Continuum of Care Board, and the representative of the District Attorney at meetings of the Elected Leaders Forum on Homelessness. He has been a CADA Mentor and has served as a Teen Court Judge for more than 22 years. He is a member of the Elings Park Board and previously served on the boards of The PARC Foundation, The Moxi Museum, The Visiting Nurse Association, and the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation.
