Chet Ragavan

Chet Ragavan is a board member at the Council for Economic Education and previously worked as an executive vice president and chief risk officer at Voya Financial and managing director and co-head of the portfolio analytics group at BlackRock. Chet has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry and is an expert in risk management. Chet has overseen the enterprise-wide and business-level risk monitoring and management program for Voya Financial, a leading retirement, investment management and insurance company. Chet was also responsible for setting, measuring, hedging, pricing and controlling risk across financial, operational, IT and cybersecurity domains. In their role at BlackRock, they managed the portfolio analytics group and was responsible for developing investment strategies and analyzing portfolio risk. Chet has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in finance from Columbia Business School.

Chet Ragavan has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance from the University of Madras. Chet is also a certified software engineer and holds a certificate in cybersecurity oversight from the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. In addition, they have a certification in corporate governance from the Wharton School of Business and is a charter holder with the CFA Institute. Finally, they have an Advanced Professional Certificate in Computer Applications and Information Systems from NYU Stern School of Business.
