Brian Backhouse is an experienced professional in the food production and chemical industries, currently serving as the SA State Manager for Costa since June 2014, focusing on the mushroom sector. Prior to this role, Brian held the position of WA State Manager at Momentive Specialty Chemicals Australia Pty Ltd from July 2006 to March 2014, and served as General Manager for Dynea NZ Limited from June 1994 to June 2006. Brian's earlier career includes positions such as Finance Manager, Company Accountant, Production Supervisor, and Production Operator. Starting in the dairy industry, Brian was a Senior Cheesemaker/Supervisor at NZ Rennet Company Limited from January 1992 to May 1994 and began as a Dairy Industry Cadet at the same company from 1988 to 1991. Brian holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Massey University (1999-2005) and a Bachelor of Commerce with a Diploma of Dairy Technology from the same institution (1989-1991). Education was completed at Stratford High School from 1984 to 1988.
