Machell Phelps serves as the Executive Director of the Cortland Regional Sports Council since September 2004, focusing on increasing the economic impact of sporting events in the community and facilitating the Empire State Senior Games for adults over 50 years old. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Marietta Corporation from 2010 to 2015, Executive Director at Cortland County Family YMCA from 2002 to 2004, and various positions in sales management at American Hotel Register Company and Marietta Corporation from 1983 to 1997, where Machell achieved MHS certification. Machell holds degrees from the State University of New York Cortland and the University at Albany, SUNY.
