Paul Butler has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Paul began their career at Royal Trust in 1988, where they held various roles until 1994. Paul then joined Industry Canada as a consultant from 1990 to 1994. In 1994, Paul moved to RBC Royal Bank, initially serving as the Manager of Communications before transitioning to the role of District Sales Manager for Alternative Delivery Channels. Paul was then promoted to the position of Senior Manager of Offshore Funds in 1998, and later became Vice-President of Products at RBC Global Asset Management in 2000. From 2007 to 2011, Paul worked at Scotia Asset Management as the Director of Investment Management Services. Paul then joined 1832 Asset Management L.P. in 2011 as the Vice-President of Administration, a role they held until 2015. Currently, Paul is the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of HR at Cortland Credit Group Inc., a position they have held since 2016.
Paul Butler attended Sir Wilfrid Laurier High School from 1985 to 1987. Paul then proceeded to study at Silver Heights Collegiate Institute from 1983 to 1985. Finally, they pursued higher education at Carleton University, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from 1987 to 1993.
