Matthew Lungren MD MPH serves as the Chief Data Science Officer for Health and Life Sciences at Microsoft since July 2022 and has held various academic positions at Stanford University School of Medicine since July 2014, including Adjunct Professor and Associate Professor. Matthew is also involved with advisory roles at Elevens.ai and Cortex, and has been a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. Previous roles include Principal of Clinical AI/ML Business Development at Amazon Web Services from January to July 2022, and Visiting Scientist at Microsoft Health Futures in 2021. Matthew co-directed Stanford AIMI from 2018 to 2021 and served as Vice President of RAD-AID International from 2008 to 2013. Educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School, a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Arizona State University.
