Brian Colligan currently serves as the Opinion Editor at The Virginian-Pilot, a position held since January 2016, responsible for the editorial pages of The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press. With over 200 editorials and 300 guest columns produced annually, Brian oversees the production of seven editorial pages and one Op-Ed page weekly, alongside managing a weekly newsletter called "Viewpoints." Previous roles include Opinion Editor at Daily Press and Editorial Page Editor at The Daily Reflector, totaling over 15 years of editorial experience. Brian holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Security Studies from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Political Science from Virginia Tech.
