Troy Smythe is an accomplished professional in the museum and educational sectors, currently serving as the Board Chair for Southern Finger Lakes Pride and a Board Member for both the Association of Art Museum Interpretation and Museum-Ed. With extensive experience at the Corning Museum of Glass as the Manager of Interpretation Strategy and Education Projects since 2014, Troy also held the position of Principal at Smythe Consulting: Adaptive Museum Research and Planning from 2005 to 2014. Previous roles include Manager of Teacher and School Programs at Newfields and Western Region Representative for the National Art Educators Association - Museum Division. The foundational career began at the Dallas Museum of Art as the Coordinator of Docent Programs. Troy Smythe holds a Master of Arts in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Administrative Management from the University of Arkansas.
