Gracen Pace serves as an associate supporting the firm’s government relations team in the D.C. office, focused primarily on servicing clients in the energy space. She provides client teams with issue monitoring, assists with legislative advocacy and outreach and conducts policy research and analysis.
Gracen first joined the Cornerstone team as a policy intern in January 2022 and transitioned to serve as an appropriations-focused intern this past spring. During her time as an intern, Gracen produced approximately 70 congressional hearing memos on several issue areas, such as the Air Force FY2023 Budget, NASA technological and scientific requests and industrial decarbonization. She also helped produce a feasibility study analyzing the effect of climate change in the Arctic and regularly assisted in the drafting of Cornerstone’s Energy Newsletter. Additionally, she supported the OpsWatch team by identifying federal grant opportunities for technological, renewable energy and artificial intelligence clients, as well as municipality and tribal governments.
Prior to her time at Cornerstone, Gracen was a legislative intern for Rep. David Scott (D-GA) where she compiled daily newspaper clippings, answered constituent calls, conducted research and wrote recommendation memos for cosponsored legislative requests.
Gracen holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in political science and international affairs. She is also currently obtaining her Master of Arts in International Affairs: Global Energy and Environmental Policy at George Washington University with an expected graduation in 2024.
