German Scherer has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Bereichsleiter Softwareentwicklung at nteam GmbH from May 2003 to December 2014. German then joined Cornelsen Schulverlage GmbH as a Team Lead Produkt IT from January 2015 to May 2016, before transitioning to the role of Team Lead Customer Lifecycle Management from June 2016 to July 2016. After that, they moved on to Cornelsen Verlag GmbH, where they held the position of Team Lead Customer Lifecycle Management from July 2016 to March 2020, and currently serves as the Team Lead Marketing & HR Solutions since April 2020.

German Scherer pursued their education from 1994 to 2001 at the Technische Universität Berlin, earning a degree in Diplom-Ingenieur in the field of Technische Informatik.
