Barbara Allen James, CPCU, AIC-M, AIC, AFIS, currently serves as Vice President - Equine at Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc., a position held since August 2021, after previously working as Assistant Vice President - Equine. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Equine Claims Consultant at HDI Global SE and various positions related to equine mortality claims at Great American Insurance Group, where responsibilities progressed from Claims Representative to Senior Claim Specialist. Barbara also gained hands-on experience in equine care and sales prep at TCR Ranch and held internships at Golden Cross Farm and Jimmy Glidewell Stables. An education background includes a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a focus on the Equine Industry from the University of Florida and a degree in Commercial Photography from McFatter Technical College.
