Virginia Chu, PhD, serves as the Director of Program Data at CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) since August 2020, focusing on program design, data management, and analysis both domestically and internationally. Previous roles at CORE include Planning Unit Manager, overseeing data analysis and evaluation for Georgia projects, and Vaccine Program Manager, where vaccination operations and guidelines were developed in coordination with public health partners. Virginia Chu also contributed to mobile COVID-19 testing unit development as a Safety and Operations Officer. Earlier experience includes an AmeriCorps role at University of Georgia Extension, fellowship at Wadsworth Center, graduate assistantship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and internship at the Naval Research Laboratory. Education includes a PhD in Infectious Diseases from the University at Albany, a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia Institute of Technology.
