Ioannis Meintanis is an experienced Lead Data Scientist at CORE Group, where responsibilities include training, optimising, and deploying machine learning and deep learning pipelines since July 2019. Previously, Ioannis served as a Research Fellow on Control and Automation at City, University of London, contributing to the EU InDeal Project focused on district heating and cooling networks through advanced modelling and energy management system implementation. As a Marie-Curie Experienced Researcher at SBS-STEEL BELT SYSTEMS, Ioannis worked on the GLOW project, specialising in the modelling of powder coatings production processes. Academic experience includes a Ph.D. in Control Theory from City, University of London, alongside teaching roles in various engineering courses. Early career positions involved service and maintenance of medical devices and an internship in automatic control systems. Ioannis holds an M.Sc. in Systems and Control Engineering and a BASc in Automation Engineering.
