Ewan MacLeod is a leading figure in the European digital transformation of banking. Ewan is currently an Advisory Board Member at Copenhagen Fintech, and was previously the Group Chief Digital Officer for Nordea Bank. In this role, they were responsible for the company's Group Digital function, as well as establishing the Group's digital strategy.
MacLeod has been instrumental in Nordea's successful transition to a digital-first bank, overseeing a number of key initiatives and investments. Ewan established Nordea Ventures, in collaboration with Group M&A colleagues, to invest in FinTech startups on behalf of the Group. This has led to successful investments in leading neobanks and open banking specialists.
MacLeod is a regular speaker at external conferences and exhibitions, promoting Nordea's digital transformation efforts. Ewan is also heavily involved in shareholder and investor relations activities.
Ewan MacLeod has a BSc in Information Management from UCL, an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General, from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, and a Venture Capital Executive Programme from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Ewan also has a Diploma in Leadership from Stanford University. Ewan is certified in Machine Learning in Business from the MIT Sloan School of Management, High Impact Leadership from the University of Cambridge, and Introduction to Accounting from Udemy. In addition, they have certifications from Front Row Agile in Agile Estimating & Planning and Scrum for Managers, and from Learning Tree in SharePoint 2010 Comprehensive Overview.
