Tom Bacharz is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as an Assistant State's Attorney at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office since April 2024. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of 711 Law Clerk at the same office from June 2022 to January 2024. Tom also gained valuable experience as a Congressional Intern with the U.S. House of Representatives from September 2020 to August 2021. Tom's educational background includes a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, earned between 2021 and 2023, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northern Illinois University (2017-2019), and an Associate of Arts from College of DuPage (2015-2017).
