J. Vivian Belenky is a Senior Technician at Columbia University and a Research Fellow at Convergent Research, focusing on roadmapping effective technical biosecurity interventions, primarily in solid state far-UVC emission. Belenky has experience in various roles such as Survey Manager at Blue Rose Research, Copyeditor at the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Private Tutor at Varsity Tutors, Research Assistant at the Joint Quantum Institute and IceCube Research Group, and Learning Assistant at the Physics Education Research Group. As a PHD Student at the University of Pennsylvania, Belenky worked on ML systems for the discovery of novel antimicrobial peptides at the de la Fuente lab.
