Guru Sankar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Guru started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue Healthcare Technical Assistant Program in 2005. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as an Associate Consultant at ZS Associates. In 2011, they completed an MBA Internship at Novartis in Global New Product Strategy & Commercialization. Guru then joined McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager from 2012 to 2014, and later became an Associate Partner from 2014 to 2018.

In 2018, Guru joined OYO as the VP of Operations and Innovation. Guru held various leadership roles at OYO, including Country Head of Thailand, Chief Operating Officer of South East Asia and Middle East, and Chief Strategy Officer for India and South East Asia. Guru also worked at OYO Vacation Homes as the Head of Strategic Supply Growth & New Businesses from 2022 to 2023.

Most recently, they joined Convera in 2023 as a Sr. Principal in Strategy and Transformation.

Guru Sankar holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Guru also has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. Additionally, Guru Sankar has obtained certifications in Change practitioner from Prosci in 2023 and Rescue Diver from PADI.
