Susanne Arthur has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Susanne currently holds the position of Director of Product Content at Controlant, where they lead a team of five people and is responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality product content. Before their current role, they worked as a Product Content Manager, also at Controlant, where they rebranded the Technical Writer team to Product Content and expanded the scope of their work.

Earlier in their career, Susanne worked as a Project Assistant at the University of Madison's Department of Scandinavian Studies, where they conducted research and provided literature on various topics. Susanne also held various teaching positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, teaching language (Modern Icelandic) and literature courses.
Susanne's work experience also includes serving as a Tour Guide at Marco Polo Reisen GmbH, where they guided German tourists around Iceland and introduced them to Icelandic culture, history, and language.
Susanne Arthur has a strong educational background in Scandinavian Studies. Susanne first completed their Magister Artium degree at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, with a major in Scandinavian Studies and minors in Prehistory and Geology from 1999 to 2005. Susanne then pursued a Master's degree in Medieval Icelandic Studies at Háskóli Íslands from 2005 to 2006. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing their doctoral studies from 2007 to 2015.
