Emlyn Struthers currently serves as the Deputy County Administrator for Contra Costa County since January 2024. Prior to this role, Emlyn was the Business Manager (Administrative Analyst II) for the City of Walnut Creek from May 2020 to January 2024 and worked as a Management Analyst at Contra Costa County from September 2017 to May 2020. Emlyn gained experience as a Senior Associate with The Pew Charitable Trusts on the Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative from June 2016 to August 2017, and as a Legislative Assistant for the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2015 to June 2016. Additional roles include serving as a Legislative Assistant/Aide and District Representative for the California State Senate between June 2011 and January 2015, and as a Degreed Nutritionist for the Contra Costa County WIC Program from October 2010 to June 2011. Emlyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Sciences from the University of California, Davis, a Master of Public Health from San Jose State University, and a Master of Science in Business Administration, Accountancy from Sacramento State College of Business Administration.
