Cora Young is an experienced professional in public service and event management, currently serving as Executive Assistant II to the County Administrative Officer and Interim EHSD Facilities Manager for Contra Costa County. Previously, Cora held positions with the U.S. House of Representatives as District Veterans Liaison and Senior Field Representative, where responsibilities included managing the Congressman’s district office and liaising with constituents. Cora also worked for the California State Assembly as a Field Representative, facilitating communication and engagement with constituents. Early career experiences include roles as a District Office Intern with the U.S. House of Representatives, Ticketing Manager, and event planning roles at the University of Puget Sound. Cora holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government with a focus on American Politics and International Political Economy from the University of Puget Sound.
