James Cotton is an experienced executive in the mortgage and lending industry, currently serving as the Head of Production and Strategy at Contigo Capital since November 2022, where an innovative mortgage product is being introduced to transform the market. Previously, James served as the Senior Vice President of Mortgage Originations at PenFed Credit Union from October 2016 to October 2022, where significant improvements in market penetration, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency were achieved. With a career spanning over four decades, James held various leadership roles including SVP at Ocwen Financial Corporation, President and COO of Correspondent One, and multiple Vice President positions at Freddie Mac, contributing to substantial organizational growth and strategic development. James holds a BBA in Accounting from James Madison University and has completed executive education programs at Stanford University and Dartmouth College.
