Agnes Crawford

Docent at Context Travel

Agnes Crawford is an experienced professional in the field of tourism and cultural education, currently serving as a docent at Context Travel since January 2010, where small group and private walking seminars of Rome and its surroundings are led. In addition, Agnes is the founder and a professional licensed guide at Understanding Rome, offering tailor-made tours since 2010. An accomplished writer for Time Out Rome Guide since January 2002, contributions focus on the Sightseeing and Accommodation sections. Previous writing experience includes a chapter on the Aeolian Islands for Frommer’s Italian Islands in 2010, and the Rome chapter for the Where to Wear Italy Guide from 2002 to 2006. Earlier, Agnes worked as a freelance city guide through various tourism agencies between 2001 and 2010. Educational background includes a MA (Hons) 2:1 in Architectural History from The University of Edinburgh, completed in 1999, and attendance at the City of London School for Girls from 1984 to 1995.
