Kostas Cibulskas

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Contester

Kostas Cibulskas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Kostas started their career as a Software Development Intern at Intelligent Systems A/S in 2012, where they worked on designing and prototyping an application development platform. Kostas then moved on to Dynaway in 2012, where they worked as a Javascript Engineer developing interactive frontend web applications for Microsoft Dynamics AX backend systems. In 2013, they worked at Mediapark Group as a C# Software Engineer, participating in the development of an in-house algorithmic trading platform and an Android application for a mobile phone operator.

From 2013 to 2015, Kostas worked as a Senior Java Software Engineer at Intelligent Systems A/S, contributing to the development of multiple warehouse management systems for major customers in Europe. Kostas then joined Mediapark Group again in 2015 as a Partner and later as a Team Lead, where they designed architecture and led the development of an enterprise application integration system used by a Lithuanian hospital.

In 2016, Kostas became the Chief Technology Officer at UAB "Gera dovana," where they managed an engineering team for a giftcard ecommerce business and led the development of internal systems. Kostas joined Danske Bank in 2019 as a Senior Team Manager, overseeing an engineering team in a mobile banking tribe and participating in solution design for new business features.

In 2020, Kostas worked as a Senior Kotlin Software Engineer at Koyo, and later co-founded Contester, an ecommerce startup, where they serve as the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for platform development and hiring of engineers.

Kostas Cibulskas completed their education history with a diploma of graduation from Vilniaus rajono Gedimino Gimnazija, where they pursued general studies from 1998 to 2010. Later, they attended the University College of Northern Denmark from 2010 to 2013 and obtained an AP degree in computer science.
