Clay Colwell is a seasoned design and branding professional currently serving as the Senior Director of Brand & Creative at Contentful since January 2023. With extensive experience in freelance design through The Fine Line Studio since 2006, Clay has previously held senior positions at BigCommerce and Thinktiv, where responsibilities included shaping creative strategy, managing multidisciplinary design teams, and directing impactful branding campaigns. As an Art Director at NetSpend, Clay built a large design team and initiated successful branding projects, while earlier roles included Creative Media Director at Vuse Media Group and design positions at Rural Rooster Design and C3 Presents. Clay holds a degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Graphic Design from St. Edward's University.
