Neil McCready has over two decades of experience in the rail and bus industries, currently serving as Head of Business Development and Head of Operations at CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) since July 2004, overseeing various fleets including the Abellio West Midlands DMUs and TfWM Birmingham Trams. Previous roles include Senior Technical Engineer and Fleet Performance Engineer at CAF, and Test Technician at Alexander Dennis Limited, where installation and testing of buses for major clients were key responsibilities. Neil's career began at Translink as an Electrical Technician, focusing on the overhaul and maintenance of various rail fleets. In addition to professional roles, Neil serves as a Non-Executive Director at Northern Ireland Hospice. Neil holds a CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership, an HNC in Multi-disciplinary Engineering, and an ONC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, all from the East Antrim Institute of Further and Higher Education.
