Lee James is a seasoned professional in public safety and campus security with extensive experience across various educational institutions and law enforcement agencies. Currently serving as the Director of Public Safety Programs at the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area since January 2022, Lee also holds the positions of President & CEO and Campus Security Consultant at L. K. James & Associates since 2014, focusing on campus safety assessments and compliance with federal regulations. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Police at Prince George's Community College, Chief of University Police at Howard University, and Executive Director for Campus Safety and Security at Johns Hopkins University. Lee has held significant roles at the HBCU-LEEA and the Prince George's County Police Department, demonstrating a commitment to campus safety and law enforcement leadership. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Behavioral Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
